What we haul
Bulky items we remove
If it is too big for a residential trash or recycling bin, or it needs a large truck, it is a bulky item. Each page has the San Diego price, what to photograph, and how the carry actually goes.
Pool tablesA pool table is an oversized household object. The slate, rails, and cabinet do not fit a residential trash or recycling bin, and they need a large truck plus two people who know how to break the table down.
PianosPianos are bulky items: they will not fit a residential bin, they are too heavy to tip into a car, and they need a large truck. Uprights are the usual job. Grands are confirmed from photos because the lid, harp, and legs change the carry.
Fitness equipmentExercise equipment is bulky when it is too big or too heavy for a residential trash or recycling bin and needs a truck. A treadmill, elliptical, or bike is tier 1–2. A machine plus weights or a bench is tier 1–5. A photo is required for both.
Commercial appliancesCommercial appliances are bulky items because they are oversized, heavy, and unsafe to tip into a residential bin. Home refrigerators and washers are priced as a standard single item. True commercial boxes and heavy freezers use Fred's bulky-item example rate.- Large desksLarge desks are bulky when they are too big to fit safely in a residential trash or recycling bin or too awkward to move in a passenger vehicle. A large desk is tier 1–2. An executive or conference desk is tier 2–4. A photo is required for both.
- Sectional sofasSectionals, plus oversized sofas, are bulky household items. They are too large for a residential trash cart and usually too big for a car. A standard sofa is one item. A two-piece sectional is two. A three-piece or a large L is three.
Large cabinetsLarge cabinets are bulky household objects when the boxes are too big to fit safely in a residential trash cart or too heavy to carry in a car. An armoire or tall cabinet is tier 1–2 in the calculator, and a photo is required.- Office equipmentA commercial copier is a bulky item: dense, oversized, and not legal or practical in a residential trash bin. In the calculator an office copier is tier 2–4, and a photo is required.
Outdoor structuresLarge outdoor structures are bulky items when they are oversized household objects that will not fit a residential bin and are awkward to transport. Mesh, posts, and panels take more truck space than their weight suggests.
